Borrowed Time on Water

This short collection offers a glimpse into life around Mantra Surf Club. There may be only a few frames, yet each one carries the freedom of spending a day close to the water.

Boards rested near the water, people moved between the shore and the waves, and every attempt to stand required attention, timing, and a willingness to fall. From a distance, surfing can look effortless. Up close, it becomes a conversation between balance and a surface that refuses to remain still.

The sea teaches through repetition.

A wave arrives, balance disappears, and the process begins again. Progress happens gradually, often hidden between falls, tired arms, and a few seconds when everything finally works.

That brief glimpse of Mantra Surf Club stayed with me because of its simplicity. The water moved, people followed, and the day found its rhythm around the tide.
